Fall Break 2014

It was really hard thinking about going to Southern California for Fall Break knowing my dad was not going to be there.  I didn't know how it would work, or if we would even like it.  It definitely was different, and we missed my dad a lot, but when we were at the different parks each day we were able to enjoy ourselves and still have a blast.  I'm sure grateful for my little family and for Kenny who knew exactly how I felt, because he felt it too.

We dressed up for the Legoland Bricks and Treats party!

This bear is called the Grandpa R bear.  He was my dad's and is dressed like my dad dressed.  We brought him along on our trip and we loved him much!!

We got to stay in the Legoland hotel one night.  It was really cool!!

BYU Football, September 11, and Cuteness

First, the cuteness...there is nothing sweeter than peaceful sleeping children...this is an all too common sight in our bed these days.
We took Tyler to his first BYU football game this year and he LOVED it!!!!!  He had so much fun with his dad and Kenny was in heaven having a son loving his "religion" as much as he does!!

Emily likes going to the games too, but mainly for all the yummy food her dad buys for her. :-)
I managed to go to a couple games this season too.  We had one on September 11 and they had the coolest tribute that night as you can see.

One of the things we did on my trip to NY was to go to the 9/11 museum that had just opened.  I dedicated that day to do more with my students about 9/11 from then on.  I made name cards for some of the heroes and victims of 9/11 and gave each one to my students when they came in that morning.  They then had to go through a really great interactive timeline to find who they were and whether they lived or died that day.  It was AMAZING and my students loved it!!  I'm so grateful to be an American and for all the heroes of that day! We will NEVER forget!
