My family did something last night we hadn't done in a very long time.  We watched a movie all together.  We subscribe to Netflix, but are so busy that we never watch the movie for at least a few weeks to a month.  We had rented Evan Almighty (that shows you how behind the times we are) and let everybody watch it.  It was a really cute clean movie with a great message and Emily really enjoyed retelling the Noah story as the movie progressed.  Emily was sitting next to me and was leaning on me when Ashley, wanting to do everything her sister does, came up on the couch and leaned on us too.  It was so cute and Kenny managed to get a picture.  It was a fun couple hours together as a family.

Ashley for some reason loves to wear mismatched shoes.  We will put shoes on her and within a couple minutes, she's taken off one shoe and put on one of another kind.  It's really cute and frustrating at the same time, especially when we are trying to go somewhere.  I'm sure it will be a fun memory in time, but right now I'm double checking her birth date.  Last I checked she wasn't born in the 80's, was she? :)

Disneyland Continued

I knew I'd think of more things to share.  One day when we were parking our stroller, Kenny accidentally spilled our drink.  When this happened he exclaimed, "Oh, No!"  Well, like I said, Ashley started being a great little talker so she started repeating this over and over again. (We were very grateful something else didn't come out of his mouth :) )  It just so happened that we were headed onto the Haunted Mansion ride.  We walked up into the first room and the creepy voice says, "Welcome to the Haunted Mansion."  Right after he said this Ashley yells out, "Oh no!"  Everybody laughed and some people even agreed with our little one.  It was a sweet and funny moment during our trip.  The video in this post is Ashley during Small World.  It's a little long, but way cute for us!

For Spring Break we went to Disneyland.  We had a great time.  We stayed at our Worldmark condo for the first time and really enjoyed it.  It was a couple blocks further than we normally stay, but it was sure nice to have real bedrooms and a kitchen to make things in.

The girls had a blast.  We didn't know how much Ashley would enjoy it, but she couldn't get enough.  Every ride we went on as soon as it was over she started signing and saying, "more, more, more."  It was so cute.  Emily was so brave--she went on Splash Mountain many times, went on the Matterhorn again, and we even got her to go on Space Mountain and she said she liked it. (We'll see if that's really true the next time we go)

Ashley really started talking a lot during this trip.  She would say all the characters' names and even learned some of the songs to the rides.  She would sing, "Yo ho, yo ho" every time we would get on Pirates.  It was really cute.  But, by far, Ashley's favorite ride was Small World.  We have a cute video of her during the ride.  I'll try to post it if I can figure out how. :)

We are all happy to be back home, but had a wonderful time relaxing away from it all.   I'm sure this is only one of the many posts about our trip.  So for now I'll say, to be continued...

Working girl

My four year old, Emily, is dead set on buying the Sleeping Beauty fairies at Disneyland when we go next week.  So Kenny told her that she would have to do chores and clean to earn some money for them.  Emily was very excited about this and has cleaned like crazy.  She organized her room, took off all the stuff on the table and wiped it off so cute, and then got our this huge broom that we never use and started to sweep our kitchen floor.  It was quite amusing and precious.  Do you think she'll earn enough money? :)

So, we're starting this blog off with a bang.  Our 21 month old, Ashley, has learned how to take off her diaper and every time we turn around she has stripped down to her bare bum.  She wants to use the potty, but isn't quite ready for that yet.  Every time we see her she gives us this big smile like, "I did it again!"  I think the duct tape is going to be coming out soon.  Any suggestions? 

Finally!!

Well, we finally did it.  We created a blog.  I (Sarah) did this for two main reasons.  One-everybody was telling me I should and two-more importantly-a wise friend told me that this is a great way to chronicle all the great but little things that our girls do that we will forget over time. I used to be a great journal writer, but now in the seemingly most important time in my life, I've stopped writing in it giving the excuse that there's no time.  So, as this friend said, this will be my online journal.  You'll probably read a lot about the silly things that my girls will do and say that to Kenny and I are super precious.  So, off we go!!
