Adrenaline Junkie

To put it simply, Ashley is an adrenaline junkie. I know, I know, she's only 2, but she loves to feel scared, swing high, be thrown really high, and ride on "scary" (aka big kid) rides. She is barely 36 inches but she LOVES to go on the Lady Bug Drop and the Dinosaur Drop at Lagoon. She would go on it all day over and over and over again if she could (and sometimes she does). At the beginning, the voice asks, "Is everybody ready to go? She always screams, "Yes!" While riding, she puts her arms up and screams with delight. She also tells people to put their hands up. As soon as it's over and she gets off she says, "Again!" The following video shows this. I think it's really cute!

Disneyland Withdrawal

Many of you know we LOVE Disneyland and go every year (usually more than once ;-) ). This year with Kenny's business still slow, we decided to save some money and not go to Disneyland. I thought we'd all be just fine, but we're officially in Disneyland withdrawal. Did there used to be so many Disneyland commercials? Did there used to be so many "deals" for Disneyland? Or are we just noticing them more because we're in withdrawal? :)
Kenny has officially been the worst. He talks about Disneyland a lot and keeps wanting to start planning the next trip there. As his consolation for no Disneyland we got season passes to Lagoon. We've already been three times and the girls love it! Plus it's so small that you can easily get everything done in one day. (especially since we stay in the kiddie section all day) It's not Disneyland, but for now...sigh...it'll do!

Ashley on the "Dumbo" ride. We call it that because there's an elephant for one of the choices to ride in. Use as many Disneyland references as we can! :)

Gotta ride the boats while you're at Lagoon. Amazingly, Emily is only a few inches away from not being able to ride them anymore. How quickly they grow up!

That girl loves her candy!

Ashley LOVES candy! That is an understatement. Ashley obsesses about, throws fits over, adores, sneaks, devours, and probably dreams of candy. She is SO much like Kenny in so many ways and this is one of them. She would eat it all day long everyday if she could. Luckily for us she does like many other things but if candy is nearby: watch out! We love you Ash, our candy eating munchkin!
Here's a montage of various candy faces:
This is normally how Ashley looks after she's eaten candy. This was a blue ring pop
Chocolate of some sort. Isn't she lovely? ;-)
A sneaked cookie from Grandma and Grandpa's. If you look close you'll see all the crumbs on her seat belt.
This was supposed to be my cupcake but she turned it into hers (Alice the Fairy reference there for all you mothers of princesses)
