Three Billy Goats Gruff

The first grade at Ashley's school always puts on a play in their classrooms of the Three Billy Goats Gruff.  Ashley got to be Little Gruff.  She looked so cute and did a great job on her lines!  She has progressed this year so much.  We are so thankful to her teacher, Miss Hull, and SO proud of her!

Here she is eating her grass after getting over the bridge.
Each student got to write their own ending to the play and Ashley wrote in that the biggest  billy goat gruff asked the troll why he's such a bully.  The troll said it's because he doesn't have any friends.  So, the big billy goat had the troll apologize and they all became friends.  How cute is that?!  :-)

My Little Princess ;-)

Well, it took almost 3 years, but my girls dressed Tyler up as a princess.  He looked so cute! ;-)  The girls couldn't stop laughing they thought it was so funny!  It didn't last very long, but it was sure fun!

Tyler's first Disney on Ice

If you know my little boy, you know he's a little (really a lot!) obsessed with the princesses.  So, when Disney on Ice was coming with Merida (from Brave) and Ariel (two of his absolute favorites!), we knew we had to take Ty!!  He, of course, absolutely LOVED it and so did our girls.  We sure love Disney on Ice!!

Tyler was waving to everyone the whole time.  He even blew a few kisses too!! :-)

Storytelling

One of Emily's gifts is storytelling.  She can memorize a story so easily and tell it with such emotion and expression!  This year she told a story called Purple, Green, and Yellow by Robert Munsch.  It's about a girl who wants and gets some special markers and is naughty with them.  Very cute!  I was so proud of her and how hard she tried.  She ended up getting 2nd place in the school!  Woohoo!!  Way to go, Em!!

Jr. Jazz Basketball

Since Emily's in third grade this year she is old enough to play Junior Jazz basketball.  She really likes basketball, but is very timid and a little afraid of the ball. She's working on it and got less timid during the season.  She actually shot a basket too! :-)  Big accomplishment!
Each game they give out a sportsmanship award and Emily received it more than any other third grader in our city's league so she got a special sportsmanship award and got to the shoot baskets with some real Jazz players, get some autographs, and win some free Jazz stuff.  She and Kenny went up there and it was a wonderful night and daddy/daughter date.  Way to go, Em!!

Guarding and defense was her specialty.  She actually was great at it!!

Reflections 2013-2014

Emily decided to do a video this year for Reflections at our school.  The theme was Believe, Dream, Inspire, and she made a video about learning how to do the monkey bars. It was really cute!  She won an award at the school level and got to go on to the city level. We found out in early January that she was receiving an award of merit from the city level.  We are so proud of her and her amazing artistic mind!  Way to go, Em!!
