Disneyland Day 2

Our second day at Disney we went to California Adventure.  It was quite busy because the Cars racers ride was broken down so ALL the people that are willing to wait for 2 HOURS to ride that ride were dispersed in the park.  We still got a lot done and had a blast.  Cars Land is SO cute and Ty was tall enough to go on the Mater ride!! Yea!  Fun day!

 One of my favorite pictures!!

 Man, I think she's gorgeous
First time for Ty on a carousel
Emily's favorite ride at California Adventure:  California Screamin'.  She LOVES it!!
Not sure what Em's doing in this picture, but the rest of us look cute

Disneyland Day 1

We went to Disneyland during our school's fall break time.  A took a few days off of school.  So, after the LONG process of writing lesson plans, staying for Em's basketball game, and Kenny cleaning the church, we were ready to go!
We had let Ashley bring a new signing book that characters could sign.  On our first morning there as we were walking to the park she was saying that she wanted Snow White's signature in her book.  I said, "We'll see," but all the while thinking we won't see her b/c we won't be waiting in line at the fantasy faire for the princesses.  Well, if you know anything about Disneyland as soon as you go in you can see Mickey's head made from flowers.  We go to Disneyland A LOT and in all our years we had NEVER seen a character in that front part.  You don't start seeing them until Main Street around the corner.  Well, on this day we walked through the turn style and guess who is just standing there with NO ONE near her?!  You guessed it, Snow White!!!  The girls ran up to her, got their picture, and Snow White signed Ashley's book.  Amazing!
It was such a miraculous beginning to a fabulous week at Disney!!

Some of the cute Halloween decorations

Tyler LOVES Buzz Lightyear so you can imagine his excitement when he saw Buzz for the first time on this trip :-)
When Emily was three we went to Pirate Island and she got lost.  Since then I have NOT let our family go over there.  They've begged, but NO.  I finally relented this time and NO ONE got lost!!  Yea!  It was quite fun even. :-)

My cutie pie on some treasure
Since they changed the Haunted Mansion to Jack for Halloween/Christmas time the wait was long.  What makes the wait better?  Popcorn, of course!

Some of the "scary" decorations for Halloween

On the way to Disneyland that morning, Emily found a $20 bill on the ground.  (It turns out it had fallen out of Kenny's pocket, but we didn't spoil that for her.)  She was so excited at her great luck.  All day long though it was burning a hole in her pocket.  That night I let her go and buy what she wanted, a Merida doll.  She was one happy girl!

Zipline

We had a Day family reunion up at Mutual Dell and they have a little zip line there.  The girls loved it (and we did too!)  The scariest thing for me was that first step off the ledge and then the rest was just really fun!  Here are some pics:

Kenny's turn; I got to go too, but Kenny forgot to take my picture :(
