Thanksgiving Trip Day 1--Sea World

For Thanksgiving we went to my dad's house in Vista (Southern Cal).  We had a blast.  All the parks we went to were only open 10-5 p.m. so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn and still got to enjoy our evenings.  It was a very relaxing visit!  Day 1 was Sea World.  Tyler loved being in Grandpa's arms and the girls had a blast as usual.
Going in to the 4-D Polar Express Movie
I love this picture, because my dad bought popcorn for everyone and Ashley proceeded to grab it and claim it for her own and pretty much eat the entire bag!!
 Santa was there too!

Playing in the bouncy thing in kiddie land

Ashley stole Ty's hat and put it on, but she looked so darn cute in it I had to take a picture
The coolest thing that day was the Polar bear that had parked himself right in front of the glass.  Normally they're always far away so this was really cool to see him this close up

Kenny and Emily braving the Atlantis ride even though it was quite chilly once the sun went down

Our sitting up little guy!

Tyler has decided to finally sit up.  We are so proud of him and he's sure proud of himself!  We love this little guy so much, but are loving him being little and immobile for now.  All of that will come before we know it!

Can he get any cuter? :-)

Red, White, and Blue Day and Stuck

Our school did a Red, white, and blue Spirit day on 11/11/11.  Emily looked really cute dressed in her three colors and made a neat flag in honor of the day.

Later that night when she was playing with Ash, she thought sitting in the trash can would be fun.  She, however, couldn't get out.  I couldn't resist taking her picture before I helped her out.  Luckily she thought it was pretty funny too.

Emily's birthday, party and Halloween

So I'm way behind so this will be an all in one post.  Em's birthday is two days before Halloween so like it or not, something Halloweenish is involved.  This year it happened to be Boo at the Zoo so she got to invite a couple friends and go get lots of candy and dress up.  It was a lot of fun.  For months the girls knew they both wanted to be Rapunzel and had planned out a whole family theme.  Dad would be Flynn, Tyler would be Maximus, the girls would be Rapunzel and I would be...Gothel.  I resisted for a long time (partly because I didn't want to be the bad guy and partly because I just don't like dressing up!)  But they won and we all dressed up and actually had quite a blast.
I went to school as Gothel too and Em was Rapunzel.  My wig was quite the hit!  It was a great last three days of October.

Gotta get a picture with the Chick-fil-A cow!
The wig didn't last too long for Em or Ash
 Mother Gothel with little Rapunzel
Emily genuinely looks scared in this picture; I love it!  She's a great actress!

Tyler got in on the action too with his first carousel ride

Me doing my scary face while Em is supposed to be scared.  I did have fun breaking out in song all day, "Mother knows best!!"
The gang ready to trick or treat.  Ash's wig NEVER wanted to cooperate so it lasted for only these two pictures!  Emily's at least lasted a little while longer.  And yes, we were lazy and Tyler was next to Maximus, not really dressed up as Maximus, but it was just fine! :-)  Kenny did make a mighty handsome Flynn if I do say so myself!
Notice that everyone is in short sleeves; it was unusually warm this year for Halloween and it was wonderful!
Have to make the funny faces
There's a man in our neighborhood that walks around every year in this costume and scares the crap out of people!  My girls were too scared last year, but this year were brave enough to get a picture with him.

Family Pictures

When we were in California for Thanksgiving, we had family pictures taken.  It is very hard getting a six month old to smile on cue with a four year old little stinker too.  But, I think we got some great ones!!  I'm very happy!

I can't decide which of these 3 pictures of my kids I like the best so I included all of them :-)

These two are classic Ashley.  All of us looking great and Ashley, well...being Ashley :-)
