We first stopped at Morristown, which was the worst winter during the Revolutionary War. Most people think it's Valley Forge, but Morristown was worse. We walked the trail to the soldier huts.

On the way back, we took a wrong turn and were worried we wouldn't make it to the bus on time, so we flagged down a couple driving through Morristown. They kindly drove us back and it was a fun little adventure.
We then went to Washington Crossing State park and walked the route of Washington Crossing the Delaware. The tour guide was dressed up exactly like the soldiers would have been and even loaded and fired his musket for us. It was AWESOME!
I learned that the Delaware River is small. I always pictured them crossing one time and being done, but they crossed back and forth all night to get all the troops and supplies across. Yet another misconception that was dispelled on this trip!

We finally arrived in Philadelphia and had to go get authentic Philly Cheese steaks. (They were actually a disappointment--DP Cheesesteaks and Italian Place are just as good or better)
I loved the cobblestone alleys in Philadelphia. Totally what I pictured.
The next day we started out at the Constitution Center. It was an A.Maz.Ing Place!! Totally made my love of the founding fathers go up even more!
There was this awesome signers room that had these statues of all the signers of the Constitution.
Lots of deep thinking happened during the Constitutional Convention :-)
