My dad invited all my siblings and their families down to his house for Christmas this year. Gratefully everyone accepted. I was very excited because I hadn't seen my older brother in years and they have a little girl that's only a few months older than Emily and they had never met.
So after our last night at Disneyland, we headed down to my dad's and that next day was Christmas Eve. We started the day by just talking and getting reacquainted. That afternoon we went to the beach. Now you need to remember that not only was it December 24th, but it had been raining for the past 7 days straight, so it was PRETTY DARN COLD! Ashley made it into the water once then decided playing in the sand was much better (and warmer). Emily braved the cold and played in the shallow waves with Kenny for a little bit.
Then it was time to go home for some pizza and Christmas Eve traditions. Acting out the Nativity and opening up their new pajamas. It was a fun night having a full crew to play all the parts in the Nativity and just being together.
Ashley with Grandpa--Can you tell how cold she is? :)
Emily playing with daddy. Kenny found a crab on the beach. It was really cool. We've never seen one on the beach before.
Emily playing Mary in the Nativity. Ignore that the baby is really a girl. My dad did have some straw left over from Halloween, which added a nice touch.
Ashley very excited about her Rapunzel pajamas. Emily got the same ones. We've never done matching clothes before, but it was really cute.
