Disneyland Christmas 2012

We only had one day at Disneyland before our passes were blacked out the rest of Christmas break so we had the make the most of it.  We started VERY early in the morning (6:30) to drive to Disneyland from my dad's house in San Diego and made it all the way to the very end (midnight).  It was such a fun day and we got A LOT done while still making sure we got a lot of family pictures taken too!!  We sure love Disneyland!!
Our first stop had to be Cars Land to see it decorated for Christmas.  So cute!!

My favorite ride, Tower of Terror.
No one else wanted to go on the Rapids Ride, so Emily went on it by herself..........over........
 and over.........
and over again.  She had a blast!!  There happened to even be a family from PG on one of the rides with her too.  What a small world!

The Poinsettia Bowl

When BYU signed an agreement with the Poinsettia Bowl, we knew we'd be going to it no matter what.  With my dad (and Disneyland!) in Southern California, we have many reasons to go and stay there.  We flew this time, which was very nice, and our first day was going to see BYU play.  It was a crazy game with not much action til the 4th quarter where BYU's defense went crazy and scored a bunch so the final score looked like we dominated the entire game.  My dad, and my brother and his family also came with us.  We all had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves.  Go BYU!!

 We had awesome seats!

Ty, as always, enjoyed all the food,
as did Ash

Ashley also kept herself entertained with Daddy's phone

Ashley was loving her Grandpa time too

Emily's 8th Birthday Party

Well, I'm not 100% sure why we did this, but we decided to have Emily's birthday party on the same day as she was baptized.  I'm SO glad we did though, because it all came together and it was all done in one fell swoop!
Emily wanted to have a Merida (from the movie Brave) party and it turned out so cute.  We did archery first.  Some of the girls were slow to get the hang of it, but once they did there was no stopping them.

Em's best friend, Sarah, who was also baptized on the same day as Em

Ashley got into the spirit of the party and ran and put her Merida costume on for the party.

 Merida was even there.

I thought of having a treasure hunt by following the wisps around the house.  The girls LOVED it!!

Then Kenny had the genius idea to dress up as the witch and have a cauldron bubbling and then give each girl a "tart".  They were so enraptured by the "witch" and few were nervous to eat their tart. :-)

We sang Happy Birthday, had pizza and cupcakes and then it was present time.

She got so many cute things and had a blast.
We ended the party with a pinata.  Emily had been wanting one for years and we finally gave in and did one.  It was fun.

Ashley even enjoyed herself and didn't freak out that she wasn't getting presents.  It was a wonderful party and such an amazing day!!  Happy Birthday, Em!!
