Boy, does Ashley love preschool!

Ashley LOVES preschool.  We are so grateful that we chose to put her in preschool again this year.  She loves her teachers (btw, both named Ashley!) and loves all the things she learns.  She picks up on things so easily and is learning so many letters that she didn't know before.  My stress level that she'll be ready for Kindergarten keeps going down each week.  I am so grateful for great teachers that work hard and make learning fun.

BYU Fan

Kenny finally has his little boy that he can make into as big of a BYU fan as he is.  Kenny dressed up Tyler before the BYU/Utah game in all our BYU garb.  Taking pictures of Ty in all this garb was only slightly successful, but Tyler sure looked cute! :-)  Go BYU!

Tyler's First Trip to the Zoo

The week before school started we went to the zoo. I love the zoo because it's so relaxing and laid back. You just walk around and see the various animals and enjoy spending time together. This was Tyler's first time at the zoo and he didn't think much of it :-), but my girls sure did. They had a dinosaur exhibit going where life size dinosaurs that moved and made noise were scattered throughout the park. It was REALLY cool (and a tad bit scary!).

After the zoo we went to eat at the girls' favorite restaurant, Chuck-a-grama (if you remember from an earlier post). We all had a blast and enjoyed one of our last outings together before school started.

You can't go to the zoo without taking a picture of the kids inside the egg and the turtle. Also, this beautiful girl got lost for a few minutes at the zoo. She kept walking after Kenny and Emily had stopped. Luckily she realized she was lost and very smartly stopped and sat down where she was, so we found her in about five minutes. So glad she was safe!

First Day of Preschool

My beautiful baby girl started her last year of Preschool yesterday! When did she get so old? She is so excited to be going to school and thinks it's pretty cool that both (it's true!) her teachers' names are Ashley. :-)

I love you so much, Ashley, even though I don't know where these past four years have gone so quickly. Good luck in Preschool this year!

First thing they do is write their name; Ashley's independent self refuses to believe us that there is an "e" in her name no matter how many times she's seen it. Maybe someday. Who knows? :-) By the way, don't you just love her "s"

She's learned how to go crosseyed so she kept doing this while Kenny was trying to take pictures. Funny, but frustrating!

Super Cute and Gross!

Ashley has naturally curly hair that doesn't seem to want to grow so we've never been able to put her hair in pony tails. Last week she asked for "ponies" (as we call them) and Kenny tried and succeeded! How cute is she?!

Tyler's had a cold this last week. Kenny was getting ready, heard Tyler sneezing, went to get him and found this:

Daddy Daughter Date

Kenny's been promising Emily a "special Daddy's day" for awhile and they finally went on it a couple weeks ago. They had a BLAST! They went to eat at IHOP (kids were free in August!), then went to Trafalga and did everything there. They then ended the night by going to the Dollar Store and buying a get feeling better present for Ashley (how sweet; Ashley was sick that day) and with a trip to Coldstone. Emily was in heaven and had so much fun! What a good dad!
